Property registration is an inevitable step when coming into possession of property. Under the South African Property Law; Land Survey Act of 1972 and the Deeds Registration Act of 1937, registering the documents pertaining to the sale, lease or transfer of a property is mandatory. The registration of an agreement to buy or sell and apartment is also compulsory as per the prevalent legislation.Â
